Hey Cats, grab your hats and come to a party celebrating the silly and Seussical at the Andersen Center Point Library community room on Saturday, March 29, from 2-3:30 p.m.The free party is sponsored by the Friends of the Center Point Library.There will be games, prizes, activities, and take-home treats.

56th Annual Fish Fry March 29

The Lime Creek Fish and Game Club will be hosting their 56th Annual Fish Fry on Saturday, March 29th from 4-7:30 p.m. (or until the food is gone!)Cost is $20 per adult, $10 per for children 12 and older, preschoolers eat free.The event will be held at the Brandon Area Community Center.Carryout is available.

Vinton Fire Department Spring Fish Fry Fundraiser, Friday, April 11, 4-7 p.m.

It's that time of the year! It's time for the Vinton Fire Department's Annual Fish Fry Fundraiser. On Friday, April 11, 2025 from 4-7:00 p.m. the VFD will be frying up fish for a freewill donation. Finish off your work week with hand-breaded fried fish, homestyle french fries/baked potatoes, coleslaw, baked beans and a roll along with a great selection of homemade desserts.

Enjoy Homemade Beef and Noodles with the Garrrison Lions

Join the Garrison Lions club us on Saturday March 8, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for our 5th Annual Beef & Noodles fundraiser.  You can either dine in or grab and go.  Everything will take place at the Fire Station in Garrison.  We will also be handing out the items you ordered during our food sales drive at the same time.  The menu will be homemade Beef & Noodles, green beans, a roll, and fruit.

Mindful Movement with Kellie for Kids - March 21, 2025 1:30 p.m.

Youth are invited to join the Mindful Movement class where they will learn mindfulness techniques as well as yoga. Participants are required to fill out a waiver form by a parent or guardian. The class will meet on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at the Vinton Public Library located at 510 2nd Ave., in Vinton. 

Grilled Pork Loin Supper, Saturday, March 8, 4:30-7:30 p.m.

An event sponsored by the Brandon Fire and EMS will be held on Saturday, March 8th, 2025 from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.The event will be held at the Brandon Area Community Center.The cost is a free will donation. This event will be replacing the Auction that was held in October.The menu this year consists of: Grilled pork loin, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, dinner roll and dessert.

KIWANIS ANNUAL PANCAKE FUNDRAISER SATURDAY, MARCH 1 SERVING 7:00-11:30AM

The Kiwanis Annual Pancake Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 1 serving from 7:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Vinton-Shellsburg High School cafeteria. The menu includes: -PANCAKES -SAUSAGE -EGGS -REFRESHMENTThe cost is a freewill donation with a suggested $10 minimum donation.Join us for breakfast and enjoy the Community Wellness Fair in the High School gym.

We are thrilled to offer the Auschwitz Virtual Live Tour On Screen at the Van Horne Library. Understand the Holocaust, the History, and the Horrors of the Concentration Camps in a raw, real, and thought-provoking way. We will be showing this virtual tour on our library's big screen television. This interactive virtual tour offers interviews, tours of places, and important historical details.
